Ep. 25: Your Love Life & PMU Cash Flow, Guess What? They Relate! With Break Up Coach Josie Naikoi

Have you ever noticed that when you're on a good run in your relationship your business seems to be thriving at the same time? And when things are hard to deal with the business is suffering too?

That's because it's all connected! Yes!

For this episode, I brought in my friend Josie Naikoi. Josie's a life coach that specializes in coaching women through difficult breakups and strategies for getting back on the playing field. She's actually an expert in helping ambitious women sort out their relationships and be the successful, strong businesswomen that they were always meant to be.

So we're gonna dive right into it! We're going to get really uncomfortable talking about divorce, abusive relationships, insecurity, setting boundaries, and what to do if you feel like you're currently in a relationship you should probably get out of.

Here are the episode highlights:

‣‣  [09:45]  We start with our get-to-know-you questions. We talk about Josie's childhood, NSYNC, mascara, and the story of her recent engagement.

‣‣  [14:36]  Josie has had her fair share of bad relationships on top of a hard divorce. So I want to know what made her believe that her new fiance was the one. What restored her faith in marriage?

‣‣  [17:19]  For anyone who doesn't know, I was married in my early 20s and got a divorce before I met my current husband, Will. Here we talk about that experience, retaining trauma, limiting beliefs, and the stories we tell ourselves about...ourselves.

‣‣  [21:04]  This might sound strange to you at first but I really believe that the dating process is like building a business. No, seriously.

‣‣  [22:36]  Josie's niche is very interesting to me. here I ask her how she became a life coach that specializes in something like breakup recovery.

‣‣  [29:56]  Here Josie and I expand upon our idea that business life and love life are closely tied together.

‣‣  [25:59]  Because I'm a very curious person, I ask Josie what her process is when working with a new client.

‣‣  [37:16]  But what about people that don't want to completely end their relationship? Does Josie ever get clients that want to go back to their partners? And if so, what does she tell them?

‣‣  [39:55]  Are you the friend that's always dishing out advice that your friends never follow, or are you the friend that always goes to their friend for advice and never follows? Here Josie and I talk all about who NOT to go to for advice and how to take that advice.

‣‣  [44:46]  Here I'll share the story of a good friend of mine who continued to accept tiny scraps of love from a partner when he really deserved so much better. I ask Josie where that attitude of acceptance comes from.

‣‣  [48:21]  So you notice that you have this tendency to accept crappy love. You know where it comes from but how do you combat? How do you start to really believe that you're worthy of a better love?

‣‣  [54:43]  Finally, if at any point in this episode you've been like "oh, gosh...that's me..." Josie gives her top three pieces of advice for you.
