I don't think anyone tells you that being an entrepreneur in 2022 means you also have to be a content creator.

 

A lot of business takes place online now. People find their hairstylists, lash technicians, favorite beauty brands, coaching advice, life advice—everything online!

 

The online business world is competitive and fast-paced.

 

You have to generate a lot of content to stay on top of your client's radar!

 

Here's the thing: you want to ensure your content is high quality. You don't want to put out half-baked content. That won't reflect well on your business, you know?

1. Grammarly

 

Grammarly is my best friend; I'm not even joking.

 

Grammarly is basically your spell-checker on steroids. You can use it as a plug-in for your MacBook, smartphone, Gmail, Google Chrome, and more!

 

What it does is scan your writing and flag spelling and grammatical errors. It also has helpful tone indicators that tell you how your text might sound to your readers. This is super helpful if you have difficulty getting your tone across in your copy. Some people might find you abrasive or have issues understanding your tone: Grammarly will help!

 

It's also helpful for me and others on my team who aren’t native English speakers! Grammarly always has our backs!

2. Canva

 

Canva is an absolute life-saver, and it makes creating beautiful-looking content super easy.

3. Adobe Creative Cloud

 

Adobe products can seem a little more advanced to some, but if you're making a lot of content for different platforms, Adobe can help you out.

 

My team uses Photoshop to edit pictures quickly and create gifs from my videos! These assets help our content stay consistent, professional, and personal!

 

We also use Adobe Premiere to edit all of our videos—IGTVs, our beauty business courses, promotional videos, and YouTube videos!

For one, all of your documents are automatically stored on the cloud; plus, it autosaves! So you don't have to worry about losing any documents because your browser suddenly freezes, or the power goes out, or you accidentally spill coffee all over your keyboard.

 

We've all been there.

 

The other great thing about Google Docs is that it's super easy to share information between team members. Just copy and paste the link, and you can send it to everyone who needs it! You can change permission so people can view, edit, or comment.

Now, I use Trello for basically everything in my business.

 

I use it to keep track of leads and potential clients, our current students in Pretty Rich Bosses, content ideas for my team, and our content calendar.

 

There are a ton of apps that you can use to build a content calendar, but Trello is the one that I've found works best for my team!

 

 

Trello allows you to create a board for every day of the week and lay out all of the content that you have to post.

 

We label all of our content based on where it goes: @RealSheilaBella, @PrettyRichBosses, my email list, my text list, our Facebook Groups, YouTube, and Podcast episodes.

 

Then if you have any team members you need to add to these posts to take care of them, Trello allows you to add them to their specific posts easily.
