Ep. 154: I CAN DO HARD THINGS: WILL REUSCH DOING DAVID GOGGINS 4X4X48 CHALLENGE TOWARD HELPING THE HOMELESS IN LOS ANGELES, A CHAT WITH MY HUSBAND

Uncategorized Mar 09, 2021

I CAN DO HARD THINGS.

That's my family's motto. And I say it to my team, my students, everyone all the time. Because I truly believe in the power of that mindset, of knowing that you CAN do things, no matter how hard you think they are.

So when my husband came up to me one day, all excited, with this CRAZY physical challenge that he wanted to do...well I had to remind myself of our motto.

Will has decided to do the David Goggins challenge. This means he's going to be running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.

I'll just let you sit with that for a second...just think about it...just imagine it...4 miles. Every 4 hours. For 48 hours.

WHY would anybody want to do that? Well, we're going to answer that question in this very episode of Pretty Rich Podcast. We're going to talk about the story behind the challenge, what it's for, and why Will is so determined to do something that is, frankly, extremely dangerous. It's fun!

Ep. 153: USING THE ENNEAGRAM IN YOUR BEAUTY BUSINESS WITH TRACY O’MALLEY, SELF-AWARENESS WITH SHEILA BELLA

Do you really know yourself?

I think one of the top things new entrepreneurs forget about when starting their businesses is self-awareness. We've got big plans, big dreams, and we don't feel like we have time to do any deep reflection into ourselves. We know what we want, we know pretty much the steps we need to take to get there, what more do we need?

The thing is - the best entrepreneurs, the ones who are the most successful, are the ones who truly know themselves. Because to be successful you have to know your weaknesses. You have to know your strengths too, of course. But if you're blind to your weaknesses then you're going to have a lot of weaknesses in your business as well that you're not aware of. And those weaknesses are either going to slow you down or bring you down.

In my program Pretty Rich Bosses, we do a lot of self-reflection. We do a lot of deep diving - because I want all of our students to know themselves and find...

Ep. 152: WANTING TO BE BEAUTIFUL, THE STIGMA BEHIND PRETTY AND BEING IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY AS A LASH ARTIST, MUA, MICROBLADER OR PLASTIC SURGEON

Hey sister, do you ever get shamed for wanting to be beautiful?

Do people give you that look when you tell them your job is in the beauty industry? You know the one, the one full of judgment like you're doing something evil just because it's related to beauty and aesthetics?

Well, beauty boss, I'm tired of being shamed for wanting to be beautiful. I'm tired of this stigma behind pretty - this idea that you can't celebrate beauty just as much as you celebrate knowledge. I think it's important to be a well-rounded person, don't you? And beauty is powerful.

Beauty is confidence.

For this episode of Pretty Rich Podcast I got some of my favorite beauty bosses in the industry together to share our feelings on this stigma behind pretty, wanting to be beautiful, being judged by others, and the power of confidence that comes from beauty - whatever beauty means to you.

This is a really powerful episode. So what are you waiting for?

Ep. 151: KNOWING YOUR DEEPER WHY, HAVING A WHY STATEMENT IS IMPORTANT FOR SUCCEEDING IN THE BEAUTY BUSINESS

Beauty boss, are you feeling stuck?

Listen, there comes a time in all of our journeys where we start to feel a little stuck. We can start to let that self-doubt creep in, or the motivation we felt at the beginning of our journey starts to die down.

It happens to all of us! But the beauty entrepreneurs who succeed are the ones that don't let these moments stop them. The ones who succeed are the ones who are able to tap back into their WHY and keep going. So if you're feeling like you're in a rut you'll never get out of - chances are you've lost touch with your why.

Worry not, beauty boss! In this episode, we're going to deep dive into discovering your why and how knowing what truly motivates you is the key to your success.

Here are the episode highlights:

‣‣  [03:27]  First I'll share MY why; why I do this Podcast and why it's so important to me to show up every week for you on this platform.

Ep. 149: Top 3 Sales Myths That Are Costing You Money In Your Beauty and Brow Business

You are COSTING yourself money.

Do you know the NUMBER ONE thing that holds beauty entrepreneurs back from being successful? It's themselves. It's your mindset.

I see too many entrepreneurs in the beauty industry that aren't focusing on SALES. Because we have all of these false narratives and myths in our heads around sales; how salespeople are pushy, rude, sneaky, manipulative, etc., etc.

But if you aren't focusing on sales...how are you going to sell? You know? And if you're not selling then how exactly are you making money?

I think we all need to focus on sales more because, to me, sales is the root of everything. It's not just about making more money -- it's about living a better life.

For this episode, I brought on one of my good friends and sales advisor Tracy Russel, aka Inked Arches PMU! Tracy was actually a student in my program, Pretty Rich Bosses, and now she works with me every day helping other beauty entrepreneurs like...

Ep. 148: BUSINESS, FRIENDSHIPS & SELF VALUE; HOW IT AFFECTS YOUR BEAUTY BUSINESS WITH MICROBLADER AND PMU ARTIST SHEILA BELLA

"My question is: is a life not expressed much of a life at all?"

One of the most important elements to becoming a successful entrepreneur in the beauty industry is knowing your worth. Your sense of self-value is key.

All of us are scared, all of us are afraid of judgment. But if you surround yourself with true friends that really lift you up and support you, then you'll find that you're able to achieve a lot more than you ever could when you were on your own. Everyone is afraid of being judged - but it's that fear that's actually holding you back.

In this episode, we're going to jump into how business, friendship, and self-value are all tied together and how they impact you as a beauty entrepreneur. I'm also going to share how you can learn to embrace who you are and stop holding back so that you can build the business of your dreams, and ultimately live a better life.

Ep. 147: MONEY AND MARRIAGE: AN OPEN DISCUSSION WITH MY HUSBAND WILL REUSCH ABOUT WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE MARRIED TO AN AMBITIOUS WOMAN, BEAUTY BUSINESS MARKETING STRATEGIST, AND MICROBLADER

"...it's no secret that bankruptcy and divorce, they're best friends."

Do you have a good relationship with money? Does your partner? Do you feel comfortable talking about money with your partner?

A lot of people don't - and I think that's a really big mistake. There's a lot of shame and fear around money but there doesn't have to be. I believe that in order to have a healthy, long-lasting relationship, you need to be able to have hard conversations with your partner, especially about money!

So for this episode, I brought my husband, Will Reusch, onto an IG live so we could talk all about our individual experiences with money growing up, how will handle disagreements about finances now, what it's like dating/marrying an entrepreneur, judgment from family and friends, and so much more.

Here are the episode highlights:

‣‣  [07:08]  Let's get right into it: how important is it for couples to talk about money?

Ep. 146: BROKE BITCH TO PRETTY RICH, HOW I GOT FIRED FROM MY SERVING JOB TO MAKING 10 MILLION DOLLARS AS A BEAUTY ENTREPRENEU‪R‬

Sometimes you have to fall to get where you're really supposed to be.

Do you ever look back at a moment in your life that was really hard, a moment where you just wanted the ground to open and swallow you up because it was so deeply humiliating -- and realize that moment was pivotal to who you are now?

It's so crazy to me how moments like that can really build us. Like, they can break us for a moment, but we rise up better than we were before.

Just before I found PMU, I hit rock bottom. I had just gotten fired, I had just gotten a divorce, I had no college education and no real sense of self. I was, you know, a broke bitch. I think a lot of the time it's easy for you to look at me where I am now and think I've always had all of this. But that couldn't be further from the truth!

So in this episode, we're going to explore my past a bit and remember where it all began. Because trust me if I can do this you can too.
